What is there to even say? One day could never do this place justice. The exterior of the palace is beautiful and guilded, but I never saw the interior. Despite the wet weather that day, my plans for Versailles were all about exploring the gardens. I had also been sent on a mission by Steph to get her cope of "The Gardener of Versailles" signed for her.
The gardens are massive. I spent most of the day there and, for the most part, only managed to complete the walk around the Grand Canal. Unfortunately, all the sculptures that line the walk around the canal were already covered for the winter, but it was still a beautiful walk. (Yep, you know me Steph, all I do is walk and take pics of birds. 😉 ) I'll bet one could go there every day for a week and STILL not see the entire gardens.
