While in Paris I made the obligatory tourist stop at Notre Dame. Being an architecture nut and loving especially the old artistic craftsmanship in old building, I was enthralled. I sometimes thing I could just spend all my time photographing the architectural details of churches, cathedrals, synagogues and the likes.
Of course, by time my pokey ass got done amazing over all the beauty inside the cathedral it was just about time for mass. And of COURSE since I'm a horrible, nonpracticing catholic thoroughly steeped in childhood guilt, I stayed for mass. Even took communion, though I wasn't getting anywhere NEAR the confessional or I would've never gotten out of there.
