Wow. Where to start. First thought is that Kraków felt so familiar and comfortable. Whether its a good thing or bad, for some reason it felt like it could just as easily be a city in the U.S. Stayed at the Mosquito Hostel and can't recommend it enough! It is, for all the right reasons, what a hostel should be. Of course I could be biased since the day I arrived I was greated with the all too familiar smell of white borsch cooking. That and a meal of perogee later in my stay and I was one happy girl.
During my stay I took a trip to Auschwitz, which I will post separately, did a couple of walking tours, and did a little exploring on my own. A ride to the Schindler Factory proved to be very educational. The Jewish quarter, sadly, is not what it used to be population wise. The pigeons in the town square are for greater food warriors than the Florida seagulls could ever hope to be. Had a really fun couple of evenings withthe peeps at the Mosquito, including a family dinner out and a very rambunctious flip-pong competition.
Hope you enjoy the pics.
