The Basilica Cistern of Istanbul

I must admit, to a large extent, the cistern was very underwhelming. Perhaps if there were more detail on its construction, or visual demonstrative marking of how high the water would have been when it was in actual use. The only really cool things about it were imagining all these various things and taking in consideration that ancient people once stood in the same places. The other majorly cool part of it was the Medusa head bases. One can't help but wonder what temple they originally stood in. Enjoy!
