Bucharest, Romania

After spending a few days in Brasov, it was time to move on to Bucharest. I had a traveling buddy, the Magnificent Sarah to pal around with for the weekend, as I just bulldozed my way right into her birthday celebration, lol. Needless to say, we both had a fantastic weekend. We wondered a little aimlessly the first day, after settling in to our respective accommodations for the weekend, which led up past Embassy row. If you haven't figured it out by now, I get a little geeky about things like that. It's almost like playing a game of I spy with myself, seeing how many I can spot in any given country during my travels. We also walked up to a nice park on the water that day.

Day two was spent taking a morning walking tour,  which was one of the better ones I've been on in a while. Afterwards, back to the park to see it in the light of day, and then to Hard Rock so Sarah could pick up a pin for her mom. While we were there, Sarah decided it'd be a good plac for her birthday champagne,  since all the champagne bars first and foremost mentioned the pretty girls in there locals. Bucharest was also very lit up for the holidays, with a different light theme on every main street.

During our travels, we also learned that Bucharest's Arch De Triumph was under renovations and barely visible. Also decided that the police are in dire need of sriving lessons....and a parking garage.

Enjoy the pics!
